A Force Lubrication System (also called Oil Circulation System) is a method in which lubricating oil is supplied under pressure to the moving parts of a machine using a pump. This ensures a continuous, controlled, and positive flow of lubricant to critical components.
Working Principle :-
In this system, oil stored in a sump or reservoir or gear box is drawn by a mechanical or electric oil pump. The pump delivers oil at a
specified pressure through pipes, filters, and distribution lines to bearings, gears, shafts and other frictional surfaces. After lubrication,
oil either returns to the sump (recirculating type) or is collected separately after filtrations & cooling.
FLS is frequently used in IC Engines (Automobile & Diesel engines), Gearboxes and turbines, Mill Lubrication etc. The main advantages
are reliability of Lubrication even at high speed and load, Reduce wear, Friction, Heat and ensure uniform Oil supply to all critical parts is
capable very.
